The Southeast Alabama Gas District is owned by 14 cities, each of which have equal representation on the company’s Board of Directors. The 2017 SEAGD Board of Directors includes: Mayor Billy Helms, Abbeville; Kennith Mount, Andalusia; Christopher Foster, Brundidge; Mayor Mike Schmitz, Dothan; Harold Spicer, Elba; Mayor Kenneth Boswell, Secretary/Treasurer, Enterprise; J.J. Jaxon, Jr., Eufaula; Mayor Fletcher Fountain, Fort Deposit; Mayor Dexter McLendon, Greenville; Winston Griggs, Chair, Headland; Mayor Robert Elliot (Ed) Beasley, Luverne; Jason Bryan, Vice Chair, Opp; Mayor Bob Bunting, Ozark; and Mayor Jason Reeves, Troy.
These cities, which formed SEAGD in 1952, work in cooperation to provide their communities with natural gas service and numerous opportunities for economic growth. SEAGD also provides natural gas service to franchise communities of Ashford, Baker Hill, Brantley, Coosada, Cottonwood, Daleville, Gantt, Glenwood, Level Plains, Midland City, Montgomery, Napier Field, New Brockton, Newton, Newville, Opelika, Pike Road, Pinckard, Red Level, River Falls and Rutledge.
